Emerging songwriter Chris Capel was born in Lewisham, South London. He spent his later formative years living on the South Coast of England attending Stranglers concerts, Art College and skateboarding. Now living in South Wales where he writes and performs, his influences include Joe Strummer, Neil Young, Richard Thompson and the obvious long shadow of Bob Dylan.

Drawing inspiration lyrically from various sources he references popular culture, affairs of the heart and his experiences when travelling.

His first album, ‘Spent Convictions’, was recorded at Airtight Studios, Manchester and was produced by Nigel Stonier.
